Begin with the Basics
Having a daughter who is in the early years of her schooling was a good time to remember the basics. This may not always be the case. Hence, I thought it necessary to record these lessons we are taught in school but we forget them as we become adults.
- Sleep and wake up on time.
- Keep yourself clean - brush your teeth, take a bath, wear neat and clean clothes, trim your hair and nails, and hydrate.
- Keep your surroundings clean. Keep your things clean and well maintained.
- Exercise regularly - walk or train with weights.
- Be punctual.
In addition to these, there are some that I have picked up over the years that I would also document here:
- Be simple with money - earn honestly, save, give, and invest wisely and simply. Stay away from debt.
- Document as much as possible. Make it easy for others in your life.
- Have loving, healthy, and deep relationships. Assume good faith.
- Consult with a medical doctor. Follow his advice.
- Keep digital life simple. Prefer Text > Images > Videos. Backup everything. Prefer Linux.
- Get action.
